Eclipse HomeCare has many truly excellent caregivers who have joined us from overseas countries such as Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and South Africa.
We will work closely with you to ensure that you get the very best induction into care at home. You will have as much training, shadowing and mentoring as you need from our highly experienced team and your own dedicated Area Team Leader.
Our whole induction process is bespoke, designed around you, taking into account your background, your strengths and weaknesses. We have great communication through the latest mobile phones all of which have satellite navigation to ensure that you can find new clients easily.
This is what some of our ‘Overseas’ joiners had to say about us:
Marzena B, Caregiver Bromyard
“I came to the UK to join my boyfriend who works in a garage. In Poland I just had experience as a baby-sitter and bartender.
I have always liked helping people. I think when client’s smile that's the biggest reward, when you know they are happy it makes me happy.
I was worried about language barrier and different culture but it has been fine. I needed time and I still learn English now.
I do like Eclipse ;) because they have helped me. I like my colleagues, they really support me too, and the office is friendly.
I like watch movies, read books but my true love is art.’’
Sabina R, Caregiver Worcester
“I move from Romania and started work in the UK doing cleaning and gardening but I always considered my type of personality was a good fit for the caring job.
It helps me to know that a carer makes a difference in people's lives concerning their quality of life and social environment.
Before I started work as a caregiver I was anxious about my working hours, having not enough work. But I was not right not to be worried because yes, I have plenty of work.
Eclipse is a good company with a good working environment. Everyone is a very supportive team around you.”
In my spare time I like mountaineering and writing.’’
Anna K, Caregiver Droitwich
“When I lived in Poland I was involved in Retail Management but I had always been interested in protecting and helping vulnerable adults. So when I moved to England I decided to apply as a carer.
I find that being a carer is the most rewarding job that a person can ever have. I love it and always will. Knowing I can make a person's day better by helping them and putting a smile on their face. I really would never change my job.
Before I started doing the job I was anxious about my communication being good enough, all aspects of personal care and managing difficult client behaviour.
But this has not been a problem. Eclipse has been very supportive, all staff are very friendly and the training is good.
In my spare time I like traveling and gardening.’’
